Restoring Our Green Canopy: Arbor Day Community Event 🌿
Join us for Restoring Our Green Canopy, a hands-on Arbor Day experience dedicated to environmental stewardship, education, and community connection. In collaboration with the Mount Rainier Nature Center Tree Canopy Restoration Project, this event brings together volunteers of all ages to make a lasting impact on our local environment.
Participants will have the opportunity to plant native trees, assist with litter cleanup, and explore the beauty of our natural surroundings through a guided tree walk led by environmental experts. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back, this event offers something for everyone.
Throughout the day, volunteers will learn proper tree planting techniques from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and gain insight into the ecological and cultural importance of native tree species from the Mount Rainier Nature Center team. Together, we will work to restore…
