The Ivy Community Charities of Prince George’s County, Inc., is a 501(c)3 organization, established in 1986 by the Iota Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Charities accepts contributions from individuals, businesses, and other philanthropic organizations which may include cash, bequests, stocks, bonds, named endowment funds, life insurance policies, trusts, annuities, corporate service matches and appreciated property in support of our programs of service as well as our capital campaign.

Gifts in Honor or Memorial

We welcome your gift in honor or memory of a loved one.  Charities will send a card to those whom you designate to receive notification of your honor or memorial gift. To make a gift in someone’s honor, please include the name and address of that person.  To make a gift in someone’s memory, please include the name of that person and also the name and address of any individual(s), family or friends whom you would like for us to notify.

Legacy Gifting

You may consider a method of planned giving that can include gifts of life insurance such as naming The Ivy Community Charities as the policy beneficiary, and gifts left to the organization in wills.
