Over the past 20 years, Charities awarded nearly $300,000 in scholarships to students on the basis of merit or need.
In 2011, Charities provided $47,000 in scholarships to 24 Prince George’s County students. The awards included scholarships for high school seniors and students continuing their college matriculation through year four.
We were privileged to receive grants from elected county officials:

• Council Member Leslie Johnson, District 6: $1,000
• Council Member Karen R. Toles, District 7: $2,000
